Asbestos Removal Near Me

If you have searched for asbestos removal near me, you are almost certainly somewhere in Greater Sydney, the Central Coast, the Illawarra, or one of the regional centres we cover. Hazardous Removal Company is a licensed asbestos removal contractor (SafeWork NSW licence AD213403) operating across the full Greater Sydney region and out into regional NSW. We provide free on-site quotes, written test results, licensed removal and independent clearance certificates for every job we take on.

The phrase “near me” hides a real question: can someone properly licensed actually come to my property, look at the material, and give me a straight answer? On this page we lay out exactly where we work, what we do when we get there, and how to arrange a free site visit.

Where We Work

Our service area covers the entire Greater Sydney region, the Central Coast, Wollongong and the Illawarra, plus regional NSW centres in the Blue Mountains, Central West and beyond. The list of major service areas below links through to the dedicated location page for each region:

You can see the full list of suburbs on our areas we service page. If you do not see your suburb listed, that does not mean we cannot get there. For locations outside our standard service area, we provide quotes based on photos and measurements where possible, which can keep costs down by reducing the need for a paid site visit.

What “Near Me” Actually Needs to Mean

When you search for asbestos removal near me, you are looking for more than a local postcode. You are looking for someone who can:

  • Attend site within a reasonable timeframe
  • Look at the suspected material in person rather than quoting blind
  • Provide written documentation (licence number, scope of work, costs)
  • Take samples for laboratory testing if needed
  • Carry out the removal legally with the correct PPE, containment and disposal procedures
  • Arrange an independent clearance certificate at the end

A truly local contractor matches all of these. A contractor that quotes over the phone without inspection, refuses to share their licence number, or skips the clearance certificate step is not the right choice regardless of how close their office is to your property.

What Happens When We Attend Your Property

Every site visit follows the same straightforward sequence:

  1. Free on-site inspection. We come out, look at the suspected material, and tell you what we see. There is no charge for the inspection itself within our standard service area.
  2. Sampling if needed. If the material has not already been tested, we collect samples for asbestos testing at a NATA-accredited laboratory. Results are typically back within 24 to 72 hours.
  3. Written quote. Once we know what is on site, we provide an itemised written quote covering scope of work, licence details, timeline, disposal costs and clearance certificate.
  4. Removal work. If you accept the quote, we book in the job at a time that suits you, prepare the asbestos removal control plan, and carry out the removal with our licensed team.
  5. Disposal and clearance. Waste is double-bagged, labelled and transported to an EPA-approved disposal facility. An independent licensed assessor issues the clearance certificate once the site passes inspection.

How Pricing Works

Quote ranges depend on the type of material, its location and how much there is. Some quotes for locations outside our standard service radius include a call-out fee, which we always disclose upfront. For a ballpark figure before we attend site, see our asbestos removal costs page. For most residential jobs, we can provide a written quote within 24 to 48 hours of the inspection.

We do not provide quotes over the phone without first knowing what is on site. Quoting blind is how cowboy contractors underprice the job, then come back with additional costs once they are already on site. Every quote we issue is based on what we have actually seen, and the price stays the same unless you change the scope.

Why Local Knowledge Matters

Sydney’s housing stock is heavily exposed to asbestos. Homes built before 1990, particularly fibro homes in Western Sydney, the Macarthur region, Wollongong and the Central Coast, are highly likely to contain asbestos in walls, eaves, roofing, bathrooms and garages. We have spent years working across these regions and understand the specific building practices, material types and council requirements that vary from suburb to suburb.

Local knowledge matters because it changes how we quote, how we plan the removal, and what we expect to find behind a wall or under a floor. A contractor who has never worked in your region is guessing. We are not.
