Hazardous Removal Company removes asbestos across Sydney for homes, businesses, and industrial sites. Our licensed team handles bonded and friable material under SafeWork NSW rules, then backs the work with air monitoring and clearance certificates. We hold SafeWork NSW licence AD213403, so every job is run by an accredited removalist, never passed to a subcontractor.
Most homes and buildings put up before 1990 contain asbestos somewhere. It hides in bathroom walls, eaves, fibro sheeting, roof linings, garage cladding, fences, and pipe lagging. These materials can sit quietly for years. The risk starts the moment someone drills, cuts, sands, or knocks them during a renovation, repair, or plumbing job.
When asbestos breaks, it releases fibres that lodge deep in the lungs. Long-term exposure is linked to mesothelioma and asbestosis, and symptoms can take decades to appear. This is documented public health data from SafeWork NSW, not a scare tactic. A property cannot be safely sold, leased, or renovated until the asbestos is removed or contained under licence.
We resolve the hazard from start to finish. That means licensed technicians, NATA-accredited lab testing, air checks where the law requires them, and disposal at EPA-approved facilities. We do not inspect and walk away. We finish the job.
We hold SafeWork NSW licence AD213403 and run every job in line with WHS law and current industry practice. We use NATA-accredited labs for testing, not retail kits, and we dispose of all waste at EPA-approved facilities. The work stays with our own licensed team, so there is no subcontractor passing risk back to you.

Residential and commercial asbestos removal
Homes and commercial sites need different handling, and we cover both.
In houses, the common problem areas are bathrooms, garages, eaves, internal fibro walls, and roof sheeting. The trigger is almost always a planned upgrade: a new bathroom, a re-clad, a knocked-out wall, or a roof replacement. Homeowners want the material gone safely and the paperwork in hand so the renovation can move ahead.
Commercial and industrial sites carry extra legal weight. Workplaces and buildings constructed before 2003 are required to keep an asbestos register, and any disturbance must follow Work Health and Safety obligations. We handle larger-scale jobs, staged removals, and the documentation that property managers and business owners need to stay compliant. For bigger sites, see our commercial asbestos removal service.
Asbestos is grouped into two types, and each one is removed differently.
Bonded asbestos is held tightly in a solid material like fibro cement sheeting. It is stable while it stays intact. It becomes dangerous once it is drilled, cut, sanded, or left to weather and crack. We remove bonded asbestos using wetting controls, full PPE, and sealed waste bags.
Friable asbestos crumbles easily and can release fibres with the lightest touch. Pipe lagging and some ceiling insulation fall into this group. By law, friable asbestos needs Class A removal with full site isolation, HEPA vacuums, negative pressure systems, and air testing once the work is done.
Most properties hold a mix. A bathroom might have friable pipe lagging while the external walls are bonded fibro. Treating everything the same is how removals go wrong. We test first, confirm what is present, then assign the right method to each area.
